![]() ![]() ![]() She is survived by her husband of almost 56 years, Joseph Ray Anders her daughter, Cindy Anders West and husband, Richard of Clinton her son, Gerald Anders and wife, Terrie, also of Clinton five grandchildren: Matthew West, Joseph West and fiancé, Lauren Hairr, Miranda West, Haley Anders Sinclair and husband, Reid, and Jacob Anders. She was admired and loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. She loved spending time with her family more than anything, and was extremely devoted to her children and grandchildren. She loved singing in the choir, where she began singing when she was twelve years old. She was a lifelong member of Carr Memorial Christian Church, where she served many years as a Sunday School teacher and enjoyed sharing her love for God with the children. Hiram died Monday, Augat 10:45 am at The Water's of Clifty Falls in Madison, Indiana. He served for thirty years on the Honor Guard of Jefferson Post 9, of the American Legion and served many years as Captain. He was a life member of the Jefferson Post 9, of the American Legion for over 30 years life member VFW Post 1969 charter member of North Madison Fire Company #5 and a faithful member of the North Madison Christian Church, where he had taught Sunday School. He then worked for twenty years in security and fire safety at Camp Atterbury. He owned & operated his own barber shoppe for 30 years in North Madison, working with Detmer Wood. He was honorably discharged on Novemat Camp Atterbury, Indiana, receiving the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon with three Bronze Stars and one Bronze Arrowhead the American Theater Ribbon The American Defense Service Medal the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one Bronze Star the Good Conduct Ribbon and the World War II Victory Medal. He fought in the battles & campaigns to liberate the Southern Philippines, Luzon & New Guinea. He was inducted into the United States Army on May 27, 1941, in Geneva, Illinois, rising to the rank of Sergeant, serving in the Sixth Signal Company. Tague Whisman on March 16, 1946, at the Middlefork Christian Church. Whisman, age 92, of Madison, Indiana, entered this life on October 18, 1916, in Fincastle, Kentucky, the son of Cortes Jackson & Jenny Belle Click Whisman, both of whom preceded him in death. ![]()
